Wine Tasting to Benefit Lake Chatuge The Hiwassee River Watershed Coalition is pleased to announce a wine tasting fundraiser to be held at Crane Creek Vineyards for the second consecutive year. The event will be held on Friday, May 16th starting at 5:30pm and will feature free tastings of new 2007 wines offered by Crane Creek, as well as locally grown and organic hors d'oeuvres, freshly prepared by HRWC volunteers. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be served. In addition to great food and great wine in a beautiful setting, live music will also be provided by special guests, Gnarly Fingers. Glass fish will be sold during the evening for $5 each; bottles of wine will also be available for purchase. All proceeds from ticket and glass fish sales will benefit Lake Chatuge and the implementation of the watershed action plan. A brief status report on the plan will be given by HRWC Executive Director at 6:30pm. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door; please do call and let us know you're coming to help insure that we have enough food. Visit the HRWC website for more information including directions to the vineyard: www.hrwc.net or contact the HRWC office at 828-837-5414. |
