Habitat for Humanity Women Build Kickoff Event

Habitat for Humanity Women Build would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you for the success of the Kickoff in February. We're busy laying the groundwork so that we may proceed with the build.

One of our goals is utilizing the force of women to fight poverty. To this end we are offering gift cards. Local artist Julie Sibley has provided original artwork for these attractive cards. Please make a donation to Women Build and receive a card to honor those special women in your life. These cards may be purchased at the Habitat office by calling (706) 379- 2484. Another option is the unique pins offered by the artist Lucinda. Each pin is handmade by women living in shelters because of to domestic abuse, These pins are available at Body Sense in Hiawassee, and at Mountain Health Foods and

Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical, Christian housing ministry with the primary goal of providing simple, decent, affordable homes for selected applicants. "Women Build" is a special program of HFH in which a home is built, not excluding men, but particularly involving women. Benefits to the HFH affiliate are the attraction of new resources and a heightened profile of the ministry in our community.
