Habitat for Humanity taking applications

Habitat for Humanity is preparing to build another house and is searching for an eligible family.

The family should meet the following criteria:

1. have been a resident of Towns or Union County for the past year

2. is presently living in substandard or overcrowded housing, or paying more than 40% of income for rent and utilities,

3. has a stable income which would enable you to make regular monthly payments,

4. would like the opportunity to buy a simple, decent house, and

5. willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity in promoting the Habitat mission.

If you can answer "yes" to each of the above questions, plan to attend one of the application meetings to be held at the Mountain Regional Library in Young Harris. Meeting date and times are Saturday May 10th at 10AM and Tuesday May 13th, 7PM.

To register for the meeting, call the Habitat office at 706-379-2484.

Habitat for Humanity is a nondenominational Christian housing ministry.
