Martha Jane Schroeter

Martha Jane Schroeter, 70, of Blairsville, Ga., died Monday, April 14, 2008 at her residence.

Martha was born Wednesday, August 11, 1937 in Union County, Ga., to the late Clemon Plott and the late Mary Thomas Plott. She was a member of Track Rock Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Grace Stepp; and brothers, N.V., Zack, Bill and Franklin Plott; and a sister, Vera Mason.

Survivors include her daughters, Joann King of Dahlonega, Ga., Marsha King of Blairsville; sons, Keith Stepp of Murphy, N.C., William Stepp of Hendersonville, N.C.; sisters, Jessie Collins of Blairsville, Nancy Ham of Daytona, Florida; brother, Charlie Plott of Blairsville; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and

several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 18, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel-Blairsville Chapel with Rev. Michael Calder officiating. Music was provided by Summer Calder. Interment was in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Collins, Leon Collins, Waylon Gibby, Nathanael Stepp, Jamie King and Vaughn King.
