Evelyn Mauney

Miss Evelyn Mauney, 83, native and lifelong resident of Blairsville, Ga., died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at the Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville.

Miss Mauney was born Monday, June 2, 1924 in Union County, Ga., to the late Bascom Mauney and the late Beedie Davenport Mauney. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister and brother, Louise Bradley and Harrell Mauney.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Dennis Bradley, Kenneth Bradley, Sandy Bradley, Milton Bradley and Janet Harkins, all of Blairsville; James Mauney of Ontario, Oregon and Amy Mauney Grubbs of Warner Robbins, Ga.;

and sister-in-law, Ruth Mauney.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 16 at 4 p.m. from the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Seay officiating. Pallbearers were Dennis Bradley, Kenneth Bradley, Milton Bradley, Matthew Bradley, Tayler Harkins and Tucker Harkins.
