Ruth Nellie Anderson

Mrs. Ruth Nellie Anderson, 74, of Blue Ridge Hwy., Blairsville , Ga., died Friday, April 18, 2008 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Anderson was born Feb. 7, 1934 in Union County, Ga., the daughter of the late Harvey Ross and the late Bessie Colwell Ross. She was a native and life long resident of Union County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Anderson in 2006; and sister, Imogene Mullis. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Anderson are sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lori Anderson of St. Petersburg, Fla., Ronnie and Sharon Anderson of Blairsville, and Jerry Anderson of Blairsville; sister, June Chandler of Ariz.; grandchildren, Brandon, Briana, Cody, Raven Anderson and Jonathan McClure; great grandchild, Jaiden Anderson; daughterin

law, Beth McClure; nieces,

nephews, many other relatives

and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Michael Anderson officiating. Special music was presented by Ned Wilcoxin, Kelley Brewer, Howard Brys and Ralph Grice. Pallbearers were Brandon and Anthony Anderson, Charles Turner, Raymond King, Kenneth Brendle and Matthew Anderson. Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
