Techno Tourism Conference

Doug Kennedy and Polly Simpson attended the Georgia Department of Economic Development 2008 Techno Tourism Conference in Athens on April 14th and 15th. The conference discussed new technical innovation such as podcasting, geo-caching and effective email marketing strategies.

This was a two day event that included some dynamic speakers with valuable information in this exciting new arena of marketing. Pod cast is becoming the fastest growing marketing tool available to companies interested in drawing attention to and increasing visits to their websites.

A pod-cast is rich media experience consisting of audio and video which is tailored to your business or services. The pod cast can be transmitted on the internet via You Tube or similar sites, put on a CD for distribution or displayed on your website. Geo-caching is the new techno sport; basically it is a Treasure Hunt using a Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) receiver. Kenneco is putting together a Geo-caching event. Details will be available in the near future.
