Getting Older and Better Workshop Scheduled for May 8

The Medical Center Auxiliary, Inc. is sponsoring the 2008 Getting Older and Better Workshop on Thursday, May 8, in the Great Room at First United Methodist Church in Gainesville.

The event will run from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., includes breakfast and lunch, and features presentations on "Empowering Seniors with Nutrition Know- How." Speakers include Debbie Wilburn of the Hall County Extension Service and Barbara Mayfield, Director of Nutrition Services at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Registration is handled on a "first come, first served" basis, costs $5 and the deadline to register is Thursday, April 24. A complimentary gift is provided for each participant, and door prizes will also be given away. Call (770) 533-8099 for registration information.
