Emma Lee Clayton

Mrs. Emma Lee Clayton, 86, of Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Murphy, N.C., died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 in Blairsville.

Mrs. Clayton was born Friday, August 12, 1921 in Union County, Ga., to the late Jesse James and Evie Stephens Thomas. She was a member of South End Baptist Church in Murphy, and had been preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Clayton. Surviving family members include a sister, Georgia Griggs of Blairsville; several nieces

and nephews also survive.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m.

Thursday, April 10, 2008, from Union Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Potts officiating.
