Norman Herbert Britton

Mr. Norman Herbert Britton, 95, of Wesley Mtn. Drive, Blairsville, Ga., died Monday, March 24, 2008 in the Heritage Health Care in Blue Ridge, Ga., following an extended illness.

Mr. Britton was born Aug. 20, 1912 in Toronto, Canada, the son of the late Amos Britton and the late Jesse Britton. Norman was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was devoted to helping others and most of all, praying for others. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Megginson Britton who passed away on Feb. 10, 2007. Mr. Britton was a member of the House of Prayer Church.

Surviving Mr. Britton are sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Judy Britton of Blairsville, Don and Ann Britton of Blairsville, Ted Britton of Pacifica, Calif., Bill Hilsinger of Pacifica, Calif.; grandchildren, Linda Langman, Diane Enns, Jonathan, David, Vince and Jeff Britton; great grandchildren, Alisha, Cara and Jenaya Langman, Amy, Casandra, Alice and

Emmy Britton, Jana, Ryan

and Nolan Enns, Denae,

Rhett, Jack and Chris

Britton; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Graveside services

will be held Friday, April 4, 2008 from the House of Prayer Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Helton and Rev. Bill Honaker officiating. Following the services he will rest beside his loving wife of 69 years, Rita. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to House of Prayer, Missions, P.O. Box 1475 Blairsville, GA 30514 in memory of Mr. Britton.
