Georgia Mountains Hospice hosts 15th Annual 'Living with Grief' Teleconference Each year the Hospice Foundation of America (HFA) presents a nationally recognized program, via satellite, to more than 125, 000 people in 2,000 communities. This year's HFA's 15th Annual National Bereavement Teleconference focuses on Living with Grief: "Children and Adolescents" and is ideal for psychologists, counselors, clergy, social workers, nurses and other health care workers, funeral directors, educators, teachers and school-based personnel. Georgia Mountains Hospice will again act as your host for this year's teleconference on April 16, 2008, beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the Fred K. Stancil Conference Center in their office in Jasper, Ga. For more than a decade, this annual educational program has been instrumental in educating health care professionals and families on issues affecting end-of-life care. Moderated by a distinguished panel of ethicists, educators, and hospice experts they defined and demonstrated the interrelationships between values, ethics and law in health care settings, and examined how cultural differences may influence ethical choices. The teleconference is produced by Hospice Foundation of America, a not-forprofit organization, which acts as an advocate for the hospice concept of care through ongoing programs of professional education, public information and research on issues relating to illness, loss, grief and bereavement. Georgia Mountains Hospice, Inc. is a local not-for-profit organization that specializes in the care of terminally ill patients in the North Georgia area. Georgia Mountain Hospice hosts the HFA teleconference annually and asks that you call to reserve a seat today.
