The NGF took a two game sweep from the Sprayberry Junior Jackets of Cobb County over the weekend. The first game was a tight fought battle with the NGF prevailing 4-3. Zach Odom (Union County) pitched a solid game giving up only two runs on three hits and striking out six. In the second game, Stephen Spargo (Copper Basin, TN) stepped up to the mound, allowing only one run on two hits. The NGF's bats came alive in the second game with the Force taking the game 16-1. Even though the team is batting .314 from the plate, Head Coach Bob Lee stated "We have to put more emphasis on moving players over once they reach base." Tsali (T) Bentley, II (Union County) leads the team at the plate, batting .533.
