William Daniel Orders

Mr. William Daniel Orders, 84, of Townhouse Drive, Ga., Blairsville, Ga., died Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in the Clay County Care Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Orders was born Sept. 18, 1923 in Meridean, Miss., the son of the late William Daniel Orders Sr. and the late Mary Kogh Orders. He was a veteran of the US Air Force of WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM. Mr. Orders attended Coosa United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mr. Orders is his loving wife of 25 years, Evelyn Clements Orders of Blairsville; son and daughter-in-law, Leigh and Becky Orders of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Claire and Max Long of Tifton, Ga.; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Diane and Les

Parsons of Lilburn, Ga.; stepsons, Tony Davis of Apache

Junction, Ariz., Terry

Davis of Jacksonville, Lynn Davis of Suches,

Ga.; four grandchildren; many other relatives and friends also survive. Amemorial service was held Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 12 p.m. from the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Nail officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Orders' memory.
