Milledge Henson

Mr. Milledge Henson, 74, of Helens Way, Blairsville, Ga., died Monday, March 10, 2008 in the Heartland Hospice House in Macon, Ga., following an extended illness.

Mr. Henson was born April 8, 1933 in Union County, Ga., the son of the late Dewey Henson and the late Azzlee Payne Henson. He was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Omi Grace Roberson Henson in 2003; son, Lonnie Henson and a daughter, Barbara Henson. Mr. Henson was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Henson is his children, Pam and Charlie Hinson of Blairsville, Kay and David Jenkins of Dawsonville, Ga., Melody Brown of Blairsville, Cricket and Buck Dills of Blairsville, Mary Henson of Commerce, Mae and Rick Amato of Conn., Kathy Lopez of Commerce, Gene and Ginger Young of Rome, Ga., Jimmy and Madelyn Young of Gainesville, Dwayne and Katrina Henson of Blairsville, Thomas Henson of Gulfport, Miss., Lola Sillings of Calif., Carolyn Henson of Atlanta, Charlene Henson of Atlanta, David Henson of Cleveland, Mark Henson of Cedartown, Billy Henson of Commerce, Dewey Henson of Fla., and Richard Henson of Ga.; forty grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren; many other relatives and

friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March

12, 2008 at 2 p.m. from

the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bo Whisnant officiating. Special music

was presented by

Joshua Dills. Pallbearers were David and Cody Brown,

Joshua Dills, Jacob Fox, Jacob Dills and Adam Henson. Honorary pallbearers were Davie Jones and Charlie Hinson. Interment followed in the Providence Methodist Church Cemetery.
