Michael Edward Morris

Mr. Michael Edward Morris, 47, of Brasstown Ln., Young Harris, Ga., died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness.

Mr. Morris was born Nov. 3, 1960 in Atlanta, Ga., the son of Doris Allman. Before Michael's illness he was employed by Mountain Lake Publishing Company. He may be remembered for his love of computers, hiking, astronomy, photography and science fiction movies. He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Troy and Raenell Morris and by a sister, Julie Morris. Surviving Mr. Morris is his mother, Doris Allman Michael; his partner, Greg Garcia of San Francisco, Calif.; sisters, Rena Gill, Suzanne Mullins and Nancy Parker; also an abundance of friends also survive.

A memorial service was held Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 1 p.m. from Michael's cabin in Young Harris with Greg Garcia officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, memorials may be made to your favorite charity in memory of Michael.
