Evelyn N. Hogsed

Mrs. Evelyn N. Hogsed, 75, of Wind Chime Ln., Blairsville, Ga., died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at her home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Hogsed was born Aug. 26, 1932 in Union County, Ga., the daughter of the late Luthur Moody Smith and the late Arra Botts Smith. She was a native and lifelong resident of Union County and graduated Union County High School in 1948. She loved to travel and play bingo, but most of all she loved being with her family. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Hogsed. Mrs. Hogsed was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Hogsed is her loving husband of 59 years, Ralph Hogsed of Blairsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and John Archambault, Lisa and Gary Butler all of Blairsville, sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Ginny Hogsed of Blairsville, Ricky and Sandy Hogsed of Marietta; sister, Maxine Jones of Blairsville; grandchildren, James L. Ezell, Christopher Hogsed, Ricky,

Jonathan and Skye Butler;

great grandchildren,

Brandon and Allyssa Hogsed; many other relatives and friends

also survive.

Funeral services were held Saturday,

March 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Stacy

Dyer and Rev. Tony Roberson officiating. Special music was presented by the Harmony Grove Church Choir. Pallbearers were Ricky, Gary and Jonathan Butler, Christopher Hogsed, James Ezell, Allen Truett and Jeff Deavers. Interment followed in the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
