LeeAnne Hinnenkamp
Mrs. Hinnekamp was born Sept.16,1943 in Queens, N.Y., the daughter of the late Alvis Mayo and the late Ellen Jensen Mayo. She and her husband Jerry owned and operated Helton Creek Cabins for several years. She was on the Board of Directors of the Union County Chamber of Commerce for seven years and also had served as Vice President. LeeAnne was a great mother, who could always relate, no matter what the issue. She was a great cook who always knew what to use and when and added love to every dish. She was a wonderful Nanna who always knew what to say no matter what grandchild she was talking to. LeeAnne was a loving wife who was her husbands best friend. She will be missed tremendously by those who were close to her, along with those who meet her at the grocery store and spent ten minutes with her. LeeAnne was a member of St. Frances of Assisi Catholic Church. Surviving Mrs. Hinnenkamp are her loving husband of 43 years, Jerry Hinnenkamp of Blairsville; daughters and son-in-law, Karen and Derrick Whittle of Blairsville, Suellen and Steven Morlock of Blairsville; son, David Hinnenkamp of Blairsville; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Jerry Gauthier of Nashville, Tenn.; brother, Glenn Mayo of Branson, Ma.; grandchildren, Bryce Hinnenkamp, Madison and Kyle Morlock, Nicholas and Leigha Whittle; many other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services were held Friday, March 7, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Stacy Dyer officiating. Special music was presented by Tommy Greene. Interment followed in the Union Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville in charge of the arrangements.
