NGMC to offer free seminar on sleep disorders

The Sleep Disorders Center at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) is offering a free seminar on sleep disorders. The seminar will be held from 6 - 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, in the Grand Ballroom of the Club at The Village of Deaton Creek off Thompson Mill Road in Braselton. Registration and a light sandwich supper will be provided from 6 - 6:30 p.m. followed by the program from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Dr. Alan Lankford, director of The Sleep Disorders Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, will be the keynote speaker and will be discussing the risk factors, signs and symptoms and recommended treatment options for sleep disorders such as sleep apnea and insomnia.

"Numerous people suffer from sleep disorders and don't even realize it," says Dr. Lankford. "This seminar is a wonderful tool to help people recognize the signs and symptoms of a sleep disorder and learn how to change their sleep habits so that they sleep and feel better."

Registration is required for the seminar as seating is limited, and registration will be available on a first-come, firstserved basis. To register for the seminar, or for more information, call 770-538-7641.
