Meet the Author at Union County Library

The Friends of Union County Library are abuzz with excitement over the recent passage of SPLOST and what that means for the Library. A long-awaited expansion will now be realized, which translates into more features for residents.

Being in a celebratory spirit, the Friends are sponsoring a Meet the Author day on Saturday, March 15, from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m., complete with scrumptious desserts to savor. Our guest speaker is Mary Turner, author of "God Doesn't Need a Passport...But the Rest of Us Do!" Mary's travels - first as an airline employee and then in the Foreign Service - have taken her throughout the world to exotic places from A to Z, such as Azerbaijan and Zaire. She has met incredible people and had marvelous experiences, and she is an entertaining and delightful speaker.

So, in the midst of March, just when your days may need a little brightening before the first signs of spring appear, come join the Friends of the Library and let Mary take you on an interesting journey, and let the delicious desserts tempt you to linger.
