Sharon Gail Rogers

 
Mrs. Sharon Gail Rogers, 65, of Jim Davenport Rd., Blairsville, Ga., died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 2, 2008 following a brief illness.

Mrs. Rogers was born Aug. 15, 1942 in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of the late Albert Ferguson and the late Lillian Hildebrandt Ferguson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Ronnie Ferguson. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Rogers are her loving husband of 46 years, Rex Rogers of Blairsville; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lori Rogers of Blairsville, Brian and Rhonda Rogers of Lula, Ga., Mark and Wanda Rogers of Greensboro, N.C., Mike and Karen Rogers of Blairsville; one daughter, Karen Rogers of Blairsville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Tom Newton of Taylor, Mich., Lori and Fritz Jerguson of Warren, Mich., Terri Benoit of Taylor; brothers, Gary Ferguson of Detroit, Mich., Freddie Ferguson of Warren; brothers-in-law, Max and Keith Rogers, both of Mich.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Rayburn and Rev. Jerry Helton officiating. Special music was presented by Brenda Hemphill and the Ebenezer Church Choir, also the Troy Phillips Family with Rev. Jack Cochran. Pallbearers were Rick Evans, Daniel Byrd, Travis Henry, Gary Rogers, Larry Henderson and Brent Rogers. Interment followed in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if you wish, donations may be made to the Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society in Memory of Mrs. Rogers.
