Company recalls crackers due to unlisted ingredients

Commissioner of Agriculture Tommy Irvin is alerting Georgians to the recall of a brand of cracker because it contains ingredients that are not listed on the label.

Wang Globalnet, Brooklyn, NY, is recalling 19- gram packages of Lotte Margaret Brand Korean Cracker because they may contain eggs, peanuts and milk without listing them on the label. Consumers who are allergic to these ingredients may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

The crackers come in a 19- gram cardboard box marked with item number 00438 on the top and a code date of 08.08.06.B2 stamped on the side. The recalled packages of the crackers were distributed nationwide in retail stores.

Consumers who have purchased 19-gram packages of Lotte Margaret Brand Korean Cracker are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 718-821-5252.

Georgia Department of Agriculture sanitarians will be looking for these recalled crackers during their routine inspections of grocery stores and food warehouses to make sure they are removed from sale.
