Donations come to SAFE for opening of Young Harris store

Businesses in Union and Towns counties have stepped up to the plate to provide paint and supplies to S.A.F.E. for their thrift store projects. The S.A.F.E. Thrift Store in Blairsville and the S.A.F.E. Again Thrift Store in Young Harris serve the community by providing quality items for resale. The revenue from these stores helps fund the victim services provided by S.A.F.E.

We are working to complete construction and renovation projects at the stores which will offer the public a larger selection of merchandise and improved shopping experience.

Painter's Palette of Blairsville donated 95 gallons of paint for the newly constructed store soon to open in Young Harris. Sherwin Williams of Hiawassee donated some painting supplies for the project. This 8,000 square foot store is anticipated to open in May 2008.

Ace Hardware of Blairsville donated ten gallons of paint for renovation projects at the S.A.F.E. Thrift Store in Blairsville.

We would like to thank these generous sponsors as well as the community at large who donate to support S.A.F.E. and our mission. For more information about donating or volunteering at one of our stores, call the S.A.F.E. Thrift Store in Blairsville at 706-781-3451, or S.A.F.E. Again Thrift Store in Young Harris at 706-896-1700.

S.A.F.E. is the state certified domestic violence and sexual assault program serving Towns and Union Counties, and is a certified member of the Children's Advocacy Centers in Georgia. Partial funding is received from the Georgia Department of Human Resources.
