Sour Cream Apple Pie

This recipe came from the Market Bulletin in the 1970's . The paper was so faded I could hardly read it. There are many recipes for apples. The fresh apple cake is delicious and of course apple cobbler and the traditional 2 crust apple pie. This recipe is different but delicious. It only takes a few minutes to make and 1 hour to bake. It can be served warm or cold.
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoon flour
1 cup sour cream
1 egg beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups chopped apples

Combine sugar, flour, sour cream, egg, vanilla, and salt. Fold in apples. Spoon into an unbaked pie shell and bake for 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Remove from oven and add topping which is sprinkled on top.
Topping
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon margarine
Blend with a fork and sprinkle
on top of pie. Bake 20 minutes
at 325 degrees. Serve with ice
cream or whipped cream.
