Edward Alfred White

Mr. Edward Alfred White, 89, of Spiva Cove Rd., Blairsville, Ga., died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008 at the home of his grandson following an extended illness.

Mr. White was born Feb. 26, 1918 in Cleveland, Ga., the son of the late Jesse White and the late Bessie Rogers White. Mr. White loved hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel White in 2002; and by three sons, Gary White in 1997, Bud White in 1984 and Darrell White in 1962. Mr. White was a member of the Blairsville Church of Christ.

Surviving Mr. White is his brother, Frank White of Hawaii; grandchildren, Trace and Cindy White of Blairsville, Tammy White of Ft. Collins, Colo., Vance White of Lander, Wyo. and Eric White of Ft. Collins; nine greatgrandchildren, eight greatgreat

grandchildren, many

other relatives and

friends also survive.

Services for Mr. White were held

Friday, Feb. 22, 2008

at 2 p.m. from the

Blairsville Church of Christ with Minister Terry Stuart officiating. Interment followed in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that memorials be made to the Blairsville Church of Christ Youth Fund in memory of Mr. White.
