Builders to Prepare for Licensing Exam

In July, 2008 the State of Georgia will be requiring all Georgia builders to be licensed. Those builders who were not grandfathered in will have to take a licensing exam in the categories of either General Contractor, Residential Contractor, or Commercial Contractor.

In order to assist local builders in achieving this requirement, the Union-Towns Home Builders Association, Inc. is sponsoring a "Exam Preparation Seminar" to be held March 14 and 8am to noon on March 15. (Those builders who are going for General Contractor or Commercial Contractor licensing are required to attend the first and second days of class.) The professional certified course trainer will be Mr.Judd Johnson. The cost for taking the course is $325 for U-THBA members and $350 for non-members. Check or credit card will be accepted. Those who pass this course will receive paperwork making them eligible to take the State of Georgia licensing examination, and information regarding where and when they may take the exam.
