Diabetes; information and support

On Wednesday March 5 there will be a gathering at the Moss Library in Hayesville for those affected by diabetes or in need of information. Whether newly-diagnosed or long-time diabetics, we are all curious about counting carbohydrates, food selection and preparation, exercise, our medications and possible complications.

Doctor Ellen Andrews is organizing this meeting, to be held between 4:30 and 6:00 PM. There will be instructional materials available, including brochures and magazines. Numerous resources are always available at the library as well.

Feel free to bring your log books, glucose meters, recipes and tips. We welcome your questions, stories, and suggestions about how to make life better for diabetics in our area. For information, call the library at 389-8401.
