Republican Party Ninth District Kevin Osborne What makes an American president? Who will impress the American people, I ask. By now most of you have viewed some debates, read some newspaper articles and maybe even shook a candidates hand. Our nature is to evaluate the minute we see a contender. The appearance is popular and perhaps the sound of ones voice. These are impressions that tweak our senses. But truly, is that a proper assessment of our choice for President? By the time you're done reading this article it may raise more questions than answers. The challenge for all of us is who is the candidate that can lead America to be prosperous, free, protected and secure. There is no doubt that there is one who will rise above the rest. We need only grasp the information, process it and make a decision at the polls. There have already been some losers out there. Those that could not pull enough caucus votes or win a primary. Where do you suppose those voters turn to for help. They now have to make a second choice or even a third, as the case may be. There is so much to evaluate today to choose a world leader for our country. We are a nation that is the light for the world to see. We can not make our choices lightly without first bringing in all the information that's in the storehouse. Soon you will be digesting information at warp speed due to the advent of the computer information highway. Turn around and begin making phone calls, printing flyers and chatting at the coffee pot at work. If ever there was a need for an educated and informed voter, this is the day. Our very existence for our country is dependant upon sound objective reasoning. So, let's buckle down and get at it. Take in all you can hear in the necessary time allotted for you, the American public, living in the great state of Georgia, 9th District. We will start on our families history, ethnicity and principles we grew up on. That's a great foundation to me. O.K., add and plug in our church influence, social memberships and volunteering in our community to add to that foundation and you are beginning to form the great foundation for your decisionand be able to back it up. Let's not sit at home warm in our cuddle blanket and leave it up to someone else. It is your sworn duty as a citizen to be all you can be. Let's deliver, this election season, one awesome world leader to take this country to the next horizon. My immigrant father came to this country, loved it and supported it with all its ideals. We need to protect it for our children and their children to come. Quick fact: Did you know that over 68.3% of the people voting in the recent Presidential Preference Primaries in the counties of the 9th Congressional District chose to vote in the Republican Primary? Kevin is a graduate of Brenau University and received his Doctorate in Jurisprudence from John Marshall Law School. He has held a number of leadership roles in his community and at the state level including Governor Perdue's Litter Task Force, Chair of Pickens County re-election Committee for Governor Sonny Perdue, and past Chairman of Pickens County GOP. Kevin lives with his wife Tracey, has three children and 3 grandchildren (Tyler, Sean, and Lacey). |
