Habitat looking for property

Habitat for Humanity is in need of larger office and storage space. According to Bob Hiler, President of the local Habitat affiliate, we have a generous offer of a house scheduled for demolition which will be donated however we need property on which to relocate it.

This presents a unique opportunity for any landowner to donate, sell or lease the property to Habitat. The deal could be a win-win situation for a property owner due to potential tax benefits.

A site along or adjacent to Hwy 515 between Blairsville and Young Harris would be most desirable.

Habitat is nearing completion of the current house under construction on Pearl Wright road and is looking for an acre for the next house. If you are in the area, take a look at the current construction project. It's a great starter home and one Habitat would like to build again.

If you have any interest in or would like to discuss either of the above opportunities, call the Habitat office at 706-379-2484. You may also want to consider the tax deductible implications of a charitable donation.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-denominational Christian housing ministry.
