Blessings upon Blessings- Times of Refreshing

Prepare yourself to receive a blessing and go forth inspired to be a blessing. We are excited to announce the 4th annual "Times of Refreshing" Interdenominational Ladies Event. The theme of this year's event is "Be a Blessing" and will feature a garden party atmosphere. Reserve Saturday, February 23rd on your calendar and join us for an inspirational morning .

Praise and worship will be led by Kristen Adams. Kristen, her husband Bill and her daughter Taryn are relatively new to the area. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Blairsville and brings tremendous musical talent to the music ministry there.

Special music will be provided by Trinity. The trio includes Marlie Griggs of Blairsville, LaTisha Wilson of Hiawassee, and Emily Rogers of Hayesville, NC. These young woman have ministered in song together for six years and are all currently involved in college careers. They have recorded a CD and have many accolades and accomplishments as a group. They are active members of North Mount Zion Church of God in Hiawassee.

Joy Kight will share her testimony. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jerry and they have two grown sons, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren. Joy served as Director of Woman's Ministry at Amelia Baptist Church on Amelia Island for 10 years. She currently leads a ladies' Bible study.

Leah Adams will guide in Bible study. Leah is native to Union County. She has a deep love for God's word and is faithful to share what God reveals to her. Leah and her husband , Dr. Greg Adams, live in Blairsville. Leah is a pharmacist, Bible teacher, writer, and a lover of Jesus.

Our featured speaker this year is Barbie Cooper. Barbie is the wife of Dr. David Cooper, senior pastor at Mt. Paran Church in Atlanta where she serves as Minister to Women. She is an inspiring Bible teacher and motivational speaker. She founded and directs Womanlife Ministries and has authored several Bible studies and teaching materials for women. Barbie co-authored Christianity 101: A Self-study for New Believers. Her dramatic testimony of personal salvation is presented in Reclaiming Your Dream by Ann Platz.

The cost of the event is $15. Registration Deadline is February 18. Check in will begin at 8:30 a.m. and we will conclude at 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be served.
