Kenneth Wayne Bryson
Mr. Bryson was born Dec. 16, 1948 in Union County, the son of Geneva Shepherd Bryson and the late John Bryson. He was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. Kenneth loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandson, Cody. He was an avid guitar player and especially enjoyed picking with his grandson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ward Bryson and a nephew, Michael Bryson. Mr. Bryson was of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mr. Bryson is his loving wife of 36 years, Vellamae Totherow Bryson of Blairsville; daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Curtis King of Blairsville; mother, Geneva Shepherd Bryson of Blairsville; step children, Kim Angel of Jasper, Janet and Casey Sheffield of Waleska, Ga., Max Angel of Jasper, Tessa and Pete Smith of Lafayette, Tenn.; sister, Carolyn Stephens of Young Harris; twelve grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Special music was presented by Ben, Libby and Angie Burrell. Pallbearers were Curtis King, Cody King, Max Angel, Kim Angel, Casey Sheffield and Douglas Rogers. Interment followed in the Liberty Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
