Tsali Bentley, Northeast Georgia Executive Council member of Boy Scouts of America and local BSA Troop Committee treasurer received recognition at the past Boy Scout troop meeting. Foy Todd, Field Director for the Northeast Georgia Council of Boy Scouts of America, presented Tsali with a plaque for his outstanding accomplishment in fund raising for the Mountain District troops. Tsali served as chairman of the Mountain District troop units and surpassed the Mountain District goals, raising $ 39,193, 108.9% of goal. Tsali thanked Foy for his leadership and commitment to Scouting at the District level and thanked the local Scouts of Troop 101 for their hard work and persistence. Special thanks are owed to the citizens of Union County for their continued support of Scouting in our area.

Troop 101 invites young men ages 11 - 17 in Union County to find out more about Scouting by visiting www.scouting.org and then finding out more about our Blairsville unit. Regular Troop Meetings are held most Mondays at 7:00 PM at the United Methodist Church of Blairsville's Scout Hut located off Hwy 515.
