Blairsville Cruisers News

The Blairsville Cruisers Car Club held their January meeting on Thursday, January 24th at the Cookie Jar Restaurant, at 7:00 PM. The speaker of the evening was Robby Roxbury, Auto Technology teacher at Union County High School. He gave a very informative talk about the auto technology program at UCHS, as well as detailing what hands-on equipment they have in the shop.

Chuck Holloway, club Vice President, then handed out plaques to Fae Herd, Sherry Barnes, and Frank Iacobucci for all their hard work and dedication to the club last year. He then handed out Charter Member Certificates to all members who joined the club prior to Dec. 31st, 2007.A suggestion box was passed around for ideas on which local charities to support this year. The club has decided to support three charities this year, instead of only one, as it did last year.

Dates were set for the next meeting, Thursday Feb. 28th, and for the first Cruise-IN on the Square of this year, Saturday April 5th.

The Blairsville Cruisers are a car club which has monthly cruise-ins on the Square in Blairsville from April through October of each year. We raise funds to donate to local charities, and enjoy our cars, trucks, and motorcycles. All are welcome, with no limit on type or age of vehicles.
