Sidney C. MaHan

Mr. Sidney C. MaHan, 73, of Blairsville, Ga., died Thursday, January 24, 2008 in Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville.

Mr. MaHan was born Tuesday, July 24, 1934 in Gordon County, Ga., to the late Tom Mahan and the late Verna Ray Mahan. A member of Allegheny Masonic Lodge, #201, F & AM, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo, and his parents, Tom and Verna Mahan. He was a barber in Blairsville, and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Sonny and Rhonda Mahan of Blairsville; daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Garry Rogers of Blairsville; sister, Annie Ray Foster of Blairsville; grandchildren, Jennifer Mahan, Devan Mahan, Jacob Rogers and Jordan Rogers; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 3

p.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home

with the Rev. Ray Potts

officiating. Members of the Masons served as

pallbearers, with honorary

escort to the family: Joe Dyer, Gordon Dyer, Bobby Plott, Eric England, Roy Rose, and Bill Kuykendall. Interment followed in Union Memory Gardens.
