Lloyd Stanford Allen

Mr. Lloyd Stanford Allen, 62, of Mulkey Gap Rd., Blairsville, Ga., died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at his home following a brief illness.

Mr. Allen was born Feb. 25, 1945 in Gilmer County, Ga., the son of the late Stanford Allen and the late Hazel Hollifield Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Pickelsimer Allen in 2007 and by a brother, Edward Johnson. Mr. Allen was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Allen are sisters and brother in laws, Helen and Roy Davis of Blairsville, Linda and Jimmy Parks of Ellijay; several nieces,nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 at 2 m. from the Mountain View Funeral Home

Special music was presented

by the Kelley Trio and Caleb, Casey and Cody Bearden. Pallbearers were David Davis, Bill Butt, Randy Shope, Caleb, Casey and Cody Bearden. Interment followed in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
