To the Editor:

We are writing in regard to an article in the January 17th edition regarding 15 puppies abandoned at the Humane Society's Mountain Shelter. We deplore this incredibly irresponsible action and have made a donation to the Shelter to help care for these little animals. We are also making the following offer. If the irresponsible owners will contact us, we will pay for having the female dogs that bore these puppies either spayed or euthanized to avoid a repeat of this sorry act in four or five months from now. (Would also consider paying for spaying or neutering the owners).
