OASIS winter '08 term begins

The winter term of Older Adults Sharing in Service opened on Thursday, January 10th, to a packed house of eager students. OASIS is a senior outreach program sponsored by First United Methodist Church of Union County.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious hot lunch catered by Cooks Country Kitchen in Blairsville. We were then serenaded by the beautiful voices of the Smokie Mountain Melodies under the superb direction of Phyllis Baker. We are very blessed to have this wonderful Sweet Adeline choral group right here in our community. These ladies are extremely talented and know just how to please the crowd.
