Augusta Jean Richardson

Mrs. Augusta Jean Richardson, 76, of Craig Thompson Drive, Blairsville, Ga., died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 in the Union General Hospital following a brief illness.

Mrs. Richardson was born March 3, 1931 in Wilkinson, Ind., the daughter of the late Willis Whisler and the late Bessie Bennett Whisler. Mrs. Richardson was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by her family and all who knew her. She loved animals, especially her dog Muffy who she had for over 15 years. She loved pictures, Coca Cola and just being with her family. She was was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Seely who passed away this year also. Mrs. Richardson was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving Mrs. Richardson are daughters and son-in-law, Terri McAfee of Blairsville, Bonnie Whitmore of Dawsonville, Brenda and Bob Young of Lafayette, Ind.; brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Celia Whisler of Shirley, Ind.; eight loving grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service and interment will be held at a later date in Indiana and will be announced. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Humane Society in Mrs. Richardson's memory.
