Planning for the 4th Annual Mardi Gras Gala under way

On February 2nd 2008, the Knights of Columbus and Georgia Mountains Hospice will host the 4th Annual Mardi Gras Gala. The big difference this year is the location. For the past three years the Gala has been held in Jasper, this year we are moving the party northward. Home Town Café, in East Ellijay, will be the location for a little "Big Easy" fun coming to the mountains. The festive décor and the central location made the move even more exciting, hopefully allowing party goers from the northern counties easier access to the festivities.

The evening will begin with a delicious meal, prepared by the Home Town Café, followed by dancing to the sound of C. C. Morgan, who had the crowd dancing in the aisles last year. Asilent auction will again round out the evening, as guests bid for those treasured items.

Georgia Mountains Hospice is a not for profit agency that cares for those people facing a limited life expectancy in a nine county area in northwest Georgia. GMH provides patients and their families with a highly skilled and compassionate team of professionals who address their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. No hospice appropriate patient is declined services for lack of a funding source.

The Knights of Columbus is a service organization. They are your local "Everyday Heroes," your friends and coworkers. The Knights of Columbus meet the needs of organizations such as the Boy Scouts, Gilmer Pregnancy Center, White Christmas Fund and Good Samaritan Fund, but most of all they assist people and families who are in financial need.

The Mardi Gras Gala is an event you will not want to miss, mark your calendars today or call to reserve your table. For more information, please contact Mike Feeney at 706-632- 0079 or Gina Pendley at 800- 692-7199.
