Kappa Alpha Chapter News

The members of Kappa Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met on November 13, 2007, at Sharp Memorial's Fellowship Hall in Young Harris to celebrate President Carlene Dockery's receiving the Exemplar Degree. In addition, Joan Hollingshead, Ceil Jordan and Ursula Whitelock reaffirmed their membership after one year. Our congratulations to all.

Kappa Alpha would also like to thank the community for their support of our successful yard sale in October and at the recent sale of Gift Jars. The Gift Jars contained various muffin, cookie and bar cookie mixes. Tea mixes were also available. The funds generated support local charities and scholarships. The members have also delivered "personal" items boxes to S.A.F.E. containing items such as shampoo, toothbrushes and such, for the clients and their children. For Christmas we have adopted a mother with several children. Our annual Christmas Party was Dec. 11 at the home of Jennie Priven.
