House of Prayer publishes devotional book
The House of Prayer Interdenominational Church has just published a new book. It is a book of devotions that began as a project of the Kingdom Builder's Committee at the church. The committee was charged with identifying various options to help retire the debt on the new Family Life Center, but soon after the project was started it began to grow far beyond what was originally planned. Pastor Jerry Helton says, "I believe it was inspired by our Lord from the beginning. Its intent and impact quickly moved from financial profit to spiritual gain."
Mountain Meditations, One Year of Devotionals for the Heart and Soul, is a compilation of 365 daily devotionals written by members, family and friends of House of Prayer. The writers range from young to old, leaders to quiet behind-the-scenes workers, and the book's pages are filled with testimonies to God's faithfulness and mercy. One reader commented, "The devotionals are so personal and heart-warming that I could hardly put the books down." Another reader remarked, "Mountain Meditations will be one of my most cherished treasures!"
