Union County Lions Attend Cabinet Meeting and District Rally

The following Union County Lions attended the recent second 18-D Cabinet meeting at the Civic Center in Gainesville, Ga.: Gene & Louise Little; Arthur & Betty Gurr; Ken Castle; Lisa Little; Jean Hamburger; Marilyn Chapman; Sam Weissberg; and Vic Hamburger.

Later in the evening these Lions were joined by the following Union County Lions for the 52nd annual 18-D Rally: Ann Castle; Michael & Mildred Thompson.

Guest speaker for both the cabinet meeting and rally was International Director Joseph Gaffigan of Silver Spring, Maryland, who has been a Lion since 1981.

Three Union County Lions were given special recognition: Past President of Union County Lions Club Ken Castle was presented a special certificate signed by International President Lion Mahendra Amarasuriya for

his outstanding tow year

presidency. Also special recognition was given to Lions Gene & Louise Little who were presented a "friendship" banner for their outstanding work in the MERL Team for 18-D.

Union County Lions are indeed proud of their club leadership as well as all members who work together to emulate the Lions Motto: We Serve.
