Register to vote by Monday

Monday is the deadline to register to vote in the Feb. 5 Georgia Democratic and Republican presidential primaries.

To register to vote in the state of Georgia, you must be:

• A citizen of the United States. • A legal resident of Georgia and of the county where you wish to vote.

• At least 18 years old by Election Day.

In Georgia, you do not register by political party, but you may only vote in either the Democratic or Republican primary, not both.

If you mail in an application, it must be postmarked by the end of the day Monday.
