Republican Party Ninth District Our Cause is over two hundred and thirty one years old, but time has brought no final resolution to the preservation of our liberty. In July of 1776 a new nation was born and from the moment John Hancock laid his quill to parchment, establishing the birth of a great nation, it has been incumbent on the American People to continue the fight to defend and to maintain our liberties. As the Declaration of Independence is the preceding document to the US Constitution and as the US Constitution is the "how" we are to be self governed, the Declaration of Independence is most certainly the "why" we seek the liberty of governing ourselves and this has served as the greatest blessing of the United States of America. The Declaration tells us, "We hold these truths to be selfevident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights; that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Long before Thomas Jefferson drafted this declaration and until this day; Americans have willingly stood in the defense of this promise; a promise to keep for ourselves and a promise to be maintained for those who shall follow. Just as it has been for every American generation, we must remain vigilant in our worthy purpose. We must remain committed to the American Purpose. We, as Grassroots Republicans, shall continue to take a stand in the defense of our American birthright and we shall continue to stand on the shoulders of all those who have gone before. We shall remain vigilant in our campaign for our Right to Life, as every man, woman and child should receive this guarantee; We shall continue to work and maintain our Liberty, as the federal government continues to grasp for more control of our daily lives; and We shall offer our dedication to the preservation of our right to Pursuit Happiness, as we know this promise shall continue to produce new ideas, new investments and a continued fostering of the American Dream. I, for one, know that there isn't any greater hope, a greater conviction, a more worthy dream or purpose, than that which is ahead of all of us. So, during the coming primary season, we shall choose our Republican Candidate(s) based on their commitment to principle, we shall commit ourselves to assisting in primary campaigns and we shall win or lose with honor, as we know that our efforts have continued to foster the American Promise, the Republican Principles and a Hope for American generations to come.
