The Union County Lady Panthers improved to 6-2 with a 62-43 win at White County (2-6) on Tuesday night. The win marks the third win in four attempts versus the White County Lady Warriors.
The Union County Lady Panthers defeated White back in November by 25 points in the Championship Game of the United Community Banks Tip-Off Tournament.
Union will host a 5-4 Pickens team at 6:00 on Friday.

Michael Ross led the Panthers with 26 points in a 68-65 win over The White County Warriors. White has only beaten Union once in the last eight meetings between the two teams. Blake Gowder had 16 and Austin Collins added 15 for the Panthers. The Panthers largest lead was eight points, during the second half.
"The game was exactly what I expected," said Coach Hunter. "We have had some real battles over the last two years with all the games decided in the fourth quarter. This was a typical game for our two teams, both teams really got up and played hard to win. I do feel that the teams are very evenly matched. I don't know if we really have their number or not, we have just always stepped up our execution and doing the little things at the end of a ball game to get the win."
White County led by one at halftime, was led by Tyler Norman's 28 points and Adrian Hamilton had 22.
Union will host a 1-6 Pickens County team on Friday.
"Pickens has always been a tough team in north Georgia so we can always expect a tough ball game," said Coach Hunter. "They have a new coach so their style will differ from the traditional Pickens teams so there is a degree of uncertainty for this Friday. Either way we will have to play well to defend our home court."
