Madeline Stinson Windham Mrs. Madeline Stinson Windham, 88, of Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Dublin, Ga., died Monday, December 3, 2007 at Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville. Mrs. Windham was born Wednesday, September 17, 1919 in Laurens County, Ga., to the late William Ezel Stinson and the late Willie Day Stinson. She attended Coosa United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Nelson Windham and a son, Stokes Windham. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Denise Windham of Blairsville, Millard and Patsy Windham of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; daughters and sons-inlaw, Sheryl and Bob Kocsis of Columbus, N.C., Brenda and Bill Goodwin of Jackson, Miss.; brother, Emory Stinson of Dublin; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin with Rev. Katie Strals officiating. Interment followed in Bracewells Cemetery in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to Union County Rotary Club for C.A.R.T., PO Box 1669, Blairsville, GA30514.
