Helyne Lucy "Sue" Patton

Mrs. Helyne Lucy "Sue" Patton, 73, of Grassy Knoll Road, Blairsville, Ga., formerly of Windermere, Fla., was called to be with her Lord on Sunday December 2, 2007.

Mrs. Patton was born December 13, 1933 in Atlanta, Ga., the daughter of the late Alfred Erwin Lucy and the late Helyne Croft Lucy. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert John Lucy. She devoted her life to her husband and family and will be cherished in their hearts forever. She will be missed by all those that knew and loved her and by all the "special friends" that loved and cared for her at the Union County Nursing Home.

Mrs. Patton is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert Morris Patton of Blairsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan McMillan of College Park, Fla., Cathy and Ken Flood of Blairsville, Becky and Bob Ivey of

Windermere; grandchildren, Brandy McMillan, Rob Ivey, Brad Ivey, Stephanie Flood and Kelly Flood; great grandchild, Alexis Flood; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Tanner officiating. Special music was presented by Naomi Cummings. Pallbearers were Joe Teague, Adam Gaddis, J.R.Murphy, Nick Di Martino, Charles Long and Phillip Meeks. Interment followed in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Sue Patton.
