Margie Pauline Elliott King

Mrs. Margie Pauline Elliott King, 83 of Blairsville, Ga., died Wednesday, November 21, 2007.

Mrs. King was born Friday, April 11, 1924 in Union County, Ga., to the late George and Nora (Griggs) Elliott. A member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn King; a son, James King and a sister, Opal Lovell.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Hoyle and Patsy King of Blairsville, Harold and Gloria King of Young Harris, Ga., Vaughn and Marsha King; daughters and sons-in-law, Minnie and Welchel Garrett, all of Blairsville, Christine and Roger Broome of Gillsville, Ga., Linda May Beavers of Blue Ridge, Ga., Martha and Paul Moss, Pauline Bridges, Carolyn and Tim McGaha, all of Blairsville; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Edwin Lovell, brother, Floyd Elliott, brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Essie Elliott, brother-inlaw, Frank Lovell; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Potts officiating. Music was provided by Sarah Kelley and Sheila Eller. Interment followed in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roger Garrett, Ronnie Garrett, Johnnie Garrett, Trance King, Terry King and Marty King. Honorary pallbearers were Waylon Gibby, Rodney Broome, Jamie King, Josh Berry, Ryan Garrett and Zac Hazlip.
