Towns third grade classes decorate at BVR

Madison Landress from Mrs. Penland's third grade class is having a great time decorating their gingerbread house courtesy of Brasstown Valley Resort.

The third grade classes at Towns County Elementary got a special treat on Monday, after returning to school from their Thanksgiving Holiday break.

Five classes loaded a school bus and headed down to Brasstown Valley Resort for a special day of decorating gingerbread houses with friends. All the children, decked out in aprons, took to the icing,gumdrops and more. Not a worry in the world, the children all dipped in and became creative with their own candyland world.

The third grade classes and teachers; Mrs. Patty Dayton, Mrs. Kim Kuykendall, Mrs. Lisa Penland, Mrs. Brenda Rich and Mrs. Sue Sutton would like to thank Brasstown Valley Resort for their generosity with the gingerbread houses, supplies and lunch for the kids.

These third graders, Major Moss, Makayla King and Barbie Ann Wright, all had a hand in the deocrating of this house.
