New Bereavement Group for parents

A self-help support group for bereaved parents after the death of a child of any age and from any cause will be starting here in Blairsville. We hope to support parents from Union County and surrounding counties. We have plans to become a chartered chapter of The Compassionate Friends (TCF). The organization is non-secular and welcomes bereaved parents, siblings, grandparents and immediate family members to its meetings. The mission of TCF is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child. Meetings will be the fourth Thursday of every month at the Union County Public Library in the multi-purpose room (please use the back, side door.) The first meeting is Thursday, November 29 from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend a meeting.
