Fireside Sale kicks off holidays at Folk School

John C. Campbell Folk School will kick-off the holiday season with the annual Fireside Sale Sunday, December 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Fifty artists will be offering handmade items such as jewelry, weavings, forged iron, photography, quilts and turned wood in the Keith House and Davidson Hall.

The Fireside Sale is the most heartwarming event of the year. A fire will glow in the Community Room. Historic Keith House will be adorned with fresh greenery and holiday décor. Musicians will play holiday music throughout the event. Lenton Williams, a Shaker box and broom maker and Folk School instructor states "I especially like the coziness and the cheeriness of the Folk School during the holidays and I enjoy

meeting the folks that come to the sale from the surrounding communities."

The Folk School also features a holiday sale in the Craft Shop which features juried craft items of over 300 artists in variety of media. A discount of 15% will be offered on all items in the Craft Shop from November 23 through December 24.

John C.
